Scones

Soooo today was a lazy day..laid out in the sun for awhile (with sunscreen of course),cleaned, and made some yummy blueberry scones!

I used to have a fail-proof recipe for them, but i've lost it! So i wet searching on the internet and found one from Southern Living!

Ingredients:

-2 cups of flour
-1/3 cup sugar
-1 tablespoon baking powder
-1/2 tsp salt
-1/2 cup of butter
-1 cup of whipping cream (i substituted this with milk)
-fruit of choice (i used blueberries)

Preparation

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 450°. Stir together first 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Cut butter into flour mixture with a pastry blender until crumbly and mixture resembles small peas. Freeze 5 minutes. Add 3/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp. cream (or milk), stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  2. 2. Turn dough out onto wax paper; gently press or pat dough into a 7-inch round (mixture will be crumbly). Cut round into 8 wedges. Place wedges 2 inches apart on a lightly greased baking sheet. Brush tops of wedges with remaining 2 Tbsp. cream just until moistened.
  3. 3. Bake at 450° for 13 to 15 minutes or until golden.

These scones were so easy and yummy! It may even be better than my old recipe!

Marion Cotillard

O.k..so i have a confession to make...

I have a little crush on Marion Cotillard.

I first saw her in the movie Inception, and she was absolutely stunning. However, after seeing her in Contagion, i realized one thing.

I want to be her.

Her hair was super cute in this movie, her style, her cute little accent, everything. She so reminded me of Audrey Hepburn in this movie..and i absolutely adore Audrey.

Too bad my hair could never look like this. My hair is WAAYY too out of control and wavy.

Unfortunatly, these are the only 2 movies i've seen her in. I'll have to watch more!

Other than enhancing my love for Marion, Contagion was pretty good. I have always loved Kate Winslet and Matt Damon, and they delivered as always. And oh my goodness Gweneth Paltrow looked positively HEINOUS in this movie! I couldn't get over how horrible she looked! Granted, she is infected and dying, but still...

It was a good movie all in all, but i feel like hollywood makes way too many of these movies. There have to be other things to make a movie out of besides infectious diseases that turn people into zombie-hell creatures, or kill everyone.

Anyway..I'm off to find more Marion movies to watch!
